Deep canvassing is the only field methodology that has been found, through extensive study, to shift voter attitudes and behavior long-term, in person and on the phones. Join us to learn about new research from the field of deep canvassing and receive training on how to apply this grassroots learning to your own power-building and persuasion work. We’ll share takeaways on how to construct outreach scripts that bridge divides and move people powerfully, with practical examples from advocacy campaigns on the ground.
Ash Overton was part of the team that created deep canvassing in the LGBTQ rights movement. They have a decade of experience organizing field campaigns and advocacy programs and mobilizing volunteer teams at a large scale. They are one of the most accomplished practitioners and trainers of deep canvassing in the country and also hold enormous practical expertise around grassroots power-building and leadership development.
