Progressive organizations need to leverage technology to boost their work and beat the powerful forces our movement is facing. But choosing and purchasing a new digital tool is just the beginning. The question becomes: how do I get my team to use it? This session will introduce participants to the lifecycle of technology adoption (from assessment and strategy setting to implementation) and take a deep dive on the staff training process. Participants will leave with concrete know-how for not only training but also getting staff and volunteers hooked on new digital tools—through an approach modeled on the addictive video game “Candy Crush.”
Julien is a digital strategist and trainer who has been helping progressive nonprofits and campaigns develop winning digital infrastructure for nearly a decade. He founded Red Cypress Consulting in 2017 to apply the lessons, tools and strategies he has helped pioneer with some of the world’s most innovative advocacy organizations to support grassroots campaigns for whom digital and communications strategy consulting is often out of reach.
