Grant writing is a specific toolset that can help your organization or project get the resources it needs; but if you’ve never done it, it’s hard to know how to get started. This is a 101 lesson on how to write and optimize grants to increase your chances of success. The trainer has secured over $29 million in research and development grants as well as pilot project grants to advance climate solutions. She will familiarize attendees with how to evaluate project fit, write for grant grading, streamline project team participation, and run the project of applying for a solicitation.

Urvi Nagrani

Urvi Nagrani is an expert in medium & heavy-duty EV applications, sustainability planning, and the market policy landscape. She was previously Director of Business Development at Motiv Power Systems where she spent over 6 years helping scale the team from prototype to commercial product. There she led all state and federal policy, was the first person to ever secure an electric chassis certification from the California Air Resources Board, and led business development including securing millions of dollars in state grants. Prior to that she worked in the media space working on news publishing at Oximity, children’s ebook publishing at Ituary, a film festival at the Center for Asian American Media, and a variety of indie film productions. She has a B.A. in Film & Media Studies from UC Santa Barbara and an A.A. in History from Foothill College.
