Session Type(s): Training
Training Tag(s): Grassroots Organizing/Campaigns
In this interactive and improvisational simulation, participants will work together to build a strategic campaign plan for a hypothetical candidate. Working from a jointly created set of factors (What’s the make up of the district? What other elections are on the ballot? What are we running for? Is it an open seat?) participants will create a campaign message, determine a win number, identify their target universe, and build a field and communications plan to reach that universe. Once the strategy and tactics are set, we’ll use assumptions to build out a budget and fundraising plan for the campaign. You’ll walk away with a sample plan—and the skills to build your own—in 60 minutes!
