There is a desperate need for Indigenous leadership in our movements. In this session, we’ll cover language and terminology, Indigenous history, outreach, relationship building, representation vs. leadership, and the deciphering and importance of urban and rural Indigenous cultures. This toolkit is meant to educate users on language awareness and relationship building, while also highlighting the importance of moving beyond representation or acknowledgment and into offering meaningful leadership roles for Indigenous people.
