As more organizations allow for remote workers, it’s important to build cultures and use tools to support staff, enable strong communication, and ensure equitable and inclusive work environments. This panel will have representatives from several organizations that are either fully or partially remote. They’ll share best practices and learnings, tips and tools, as well as challenges of working remotely.

Lisa Changadveja

Lisa Changadveja is chief of staff at MoveOn and has worked on numerous Senate and presidential campaigns. Originally from Helen, Georgia, she now resides in Los Angeles.


Panelists

Veronica Young

Veronica is a Senior Program Manager for the Brigade Network at Code for America. The Code for America Brigade Network is a national alliance of community organizers, developers, and designers that are putting technology to work in service of our local communities. Volunteers partner with local government and community organizations to identify pressing challenges and use the principles of delivery-driven government to address them.

Prior to joining Code for America, Veronica dedicated her career to social and political activism, serving on political campaigns and working in support of them. She served on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in Virginia as the Out of Commonwealth Director, worked as a consultant in Washington, D.C. specializing in voter engagement and voter contact, and got her political start as a field organizer on President Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign in Las Vegas, NV.
