Mindfulness meditation to calm stress
Writer and meditation teacher Jeremy Mohler will lead a guided meditation to cultivate mindfulness, the ability to pay attention in the present moment, non-judgmentally. Neuroscientific research has shown that meditation can lower stress and anxiety, among other benefits. Mindfulness strengthens our ability to connect deeply with others as we fight for a more progressive and just society. Meditation will be followed by a brief Q&A about the practice. No experience or equipment necessary. Beginner’s more than welcome.
