“What We Told Our Sons” is a film that features four families from the southern United States. After the Trayvon Martin case, pundits, community leaders, newspersons and even President Obama shared their reactions. The case impacted nearly everyone, and this film is dialogue of how regular families were impacted.
Davina “Dayvee” Sutton is a two-time Emmy Award Winning sports journalist, entertainment and lifestyle reporter, social commentator and entrepreneur. Over the course of her 12 year career she’s worked for ESPN, Comcast Sports, Turner Sports and CNN, including CNN’s London bureau. She hosted an entertainment and lifestyle show for NBC Charlotte and most recently covered sports for CBS Atlanta. Now Dayvee writes and works as an on-air contributor for various outlets, and produces special segments and documentaries through her production company Dream Network Media – – including the thought provoking and emotional film “What We Told Our Sons: Families React to the Trayvon Martin Verdict.” As a highly requested speaker, Dayvee presents internationally for corporations, universities and sporting events.
