The fastest growing sector of work in the United States is the retail and service sector. The underperforming economy, rising inequality in the country and key development issues that impact work in the service sector are directly tied to all of our lives. US global trade policies and domestic policies around minimum wage, health care and key development issues can all be traced back to our consumption economy and the workers who work in it, whether here or in Bangladesh. Please join us for a conversation led by Ari Rabin-Havt of Sirius XM with a worker from Walmart and Executive Director of UFCW Western States Council to hear what workers and their unions are doing to change it.
