⭐How do I check in and receive my press badge?
- Location: The Media Registration table is in front of Hall E/ Town Square at the Pennsylvania Convention Center – Hall E – Level 200

- 8am ET on Thursday June 4
- 9am ET on Friday, June 5 and
- 9am ET on Saturday, June 6.
- Please note there will be no Media Check-In available on Wednesday, June 3.
- ID Check: Please be prepared to show your ID to staff, who will then check you in and give you a physical press badge.
- Press Credential Form: If you have colleagues who would like to be credentialed, please have them fill out the Press Credential Form.
⭐Which areas are reserved for press?
- Your press credential gives you full access to Netroots Nation conference programming.
- Press Risers: During the keynotes on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, members of the media are welcome to utilize the press riser in the Pennsylvania Convention Center Terrace Ballroom 3 (Convention Center 400 level). We’ll have a mult box and power station for media use on a first come basis. There will also be round tables on the theater floor that you’re welcome to utilize.
- Media Filing area: There will be a Media Filing area for a quiet space to work and hold interviews on level 200 outside of Hall E at the south end of the prefunction space. The Media Filing area will have a printer.
⭐ What should I know about union requirements and filming in the Pennsylvania Convention Center?
- PLEASE NOTE: The Pennsylvania Convention Center (PCC) is a union venue.
- Videotaping recorded events at the PCC:
- Show management may record their event with a personally owned, self-contained camera. Media camera personnel may record short news clips with a self-contained camera without show labor.
- If external lighting, cabling or mics are needed, show labor will be required. If the recording will be used for a show or program, show labor will be required.
- Recording a session with a small video camera on a fixed tripod:
- Show labor is not required if the tripod will not be moved during your recording and no panning or adjustments take place.

⭐ What is the program schedule?

- Location Overview:
- Panels and trainings will be on the 100-level of the Convention Center.
- Registration, Town Hall / Exhibit Hall, Media Row + Content Creator Studios will be on the 200-level of the Convention Center.
- Keynotes and Media Filing area will be on the 400-level of the Convention Center.
- Netroots Nation App: In lieu of a printed program book, Netroots Nation is fully digital with a conference app. There will be a daily printed schedule at Registration, but you’ll need to use the conference app to view panel descriptions and information about speakers, message speakers and attendees, etc.

- If you used the conference app in the past five years, follow these instructions. If this is your first time attending, follow these instructions to get started. We have created a document called Getting the Most Out of the App which you may find helpful.
⭐ Which elected officials and notable speakers are available for interview?
- To request an interview with an elected official or keynote speaker in attendance, please email the Netroots Media Team at netroots@pacificastrategies.com with:
- 1-3 sentence description of the interview topic for each interview request
- Format details (in person, live or recorded video + audio, quote via email, etc)
- Expected duration of the interview (eg 20 minutes)
- A short blurb and/or link about you or your outlet is also helpful
We will forward this request to the speaker’s press contact and do our best to help facilitate should they be available and interested.
- You are also welcome to connect with panelists or Netroots attendees through the message feature of the conference app.
⭐ How do I access livestreams and recordings?
- On the WebEx/ Socio app, programming with the red tag ‘STREM’ indicates the live streaming option. Additionally, here is a link to the full streaming schedule. The sessions highlighted in orange indicate programming that will be streamed.
- Recordings will be available within the Socio App, and on the Netroots Nation Youtube channel.
⭐How do I set up at Media/ Radio Row?
- Location: Media Row will be set up at Pennsylvania Convention Center – Hall E – Level 200 – Town Square. Head straight into Hall E/Town Square and follow the path directly to the right, and you will see signs for Media Row.
- Set Up: You are welcome to set up within the following windows:
- Wed. June 3 between 12-6pm ET
- Thurs. June 4 between 6-8am ET
- If you have a reserved spot on Media/Radio Row, your team will have a reserved table (6 ft long) with a draped background and 2-3 chairs. Please feel free to bring your broadcasting equipment and any signage, banners, merch, stickers, etc to promote your outlet.
- Wifi/Internet: There will be wired internet with 3 MBS speed. Those who don’t need a wired connection can access the wifi (WIFI NETWORK: Netroots26; PASSWORD: Netroots26).
- Operating Hours: Because Media Row is located inside the Exhibit Hall, Media Row will need to close at the following times:
- Thurs. June 4 at 7pm ET
- Fri. June 5 at 6pm ET
- Sat. June 6 at 3pm (tentatively)
- On Saturday, Exhibit Hall will close at 3pm ET for attendees and Convention Center staff will begin to break down the space creating a noisy environment unsuitable for interviews at Media Row. If Media Row is unsuitable, interviews can take place in the Media Filing area if you’re able to accommodate a mobile set up for interviews. (level 200 outside of Hall E at the south end of the prefunction space)

⭐ What happens when I arrive onsite for a Podcast Session or the Content Creator Studio?
When you arrive onsite (at least 90 minutes prior to your session), you should
- Pick up your badge from the Media Booth in front of Hall E/Town Square.
- Head upstairs (escalator/stairs/elevator) to Level 200 – and head straight into Hall E/Town Square
- Follow the path directly to the right and you should see signs for Media Row/Podcast Studio. Check-in with Elyse, or an IRF Team Member at least 30 minutes before your session. If you have any pop-up banners or merch items, please let the Speaker Manager know.
- Visit a few booths in the Exhibit Hall, tell people about your session, exchange cards/contacts.
- Meet the stage manager and other panelists 15 – 20 minutes before your session (in the staging area), to ensure that everyone is ready and that everyone is aware of any potential questions being asked.
- Get ready for your session; lights, camera and action.
- Reference that you will be at your booth or table selling your books after the session.
- After your session, meet other authors, podcasters, speakers and attendees.
- Post your participation on social media.
