Organizers, candidates, and org members are the faces and the voices of our movements, and keeping them focused can be a challenge. We’ll look at examples of mistakes I’ve seen (and made) and draw lessons for doing better in the future. You may be doing this communication yourself or coaching your colleagues. Either way, let’s all avoid missteps, so we to keep organizations and campaigns on track — and ready for swift damage control.
Ashleigh Strange was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska and moved to the East Coast in 2013.
She bought her honorary doctorate in Friendship from the California Church and University Institute in the fall of 2020. Her real degree is in Broadcast Journalism and Film from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2013.
An activist, comedian, networker, and worm bin mother, she is currently employed as the Regional Organizer for Lehigh Valley Stands Up.
