How to Get Folks Woke about Big Wall Street Banks and Racial Justice

How to Get Folks Woke about Big Wall Street Banks and Racial Justice

Starts: Thursday, Aug. 2 2:00 PM (Eastern)

Ends: Thursday, Aug. 2 3:15 PM (Eastern)

In this caucus we will discuss new ideas, lessons learned, and challenges groups have faced in their work to educate people about economic, racial and gender justice. How do we equip and empower citizens, community organizers, local leaders, and activists to identify, talk about, and take on the hidden structures behind the challenges faced by working people across the country, especially the role of the financial industry in harming communities? How do we talk about the central role of race and gender in the creation and perpetuation of economic inequality? And why is popular education on these issues important?
