Pedro Castro

Pedro Castro has been a driver for Uber and Lyft for 12 years, and he has become a powerful spokesperson for the benefits of unionization since joining the fight for the Rideshare Drivers Justice bill a few months ago. A father of four and grandfather of two, Pedro experienced firsthand the benefits of union membership at various factory jobs he held in the Dominican Republic before emigrating to the United States in 1994. Now, this Boston resident is struggling like most drivers to make the same income he made just a few years ago. He has spoken about his plight before a State House committee, and he regularly helps coach other drivers to represent themselves and the interests of all drivers before legislators and the press.
