The coalition successfully defeated five ballot measures that, combined, threatened Colorado’s economy, women’s health, and the Affordable Care Act During the 2008 cycle, Leticia served as the National Field Director for SEIU’s presidential campaign program, where she created and implemented strategic field plans in presidential battleground states. She also managed the 2006 Citizens for Colorado campaign, winning 26 of its 29 targeted state legislative races, and served as the Legislative Director for the SEIU Colorado State Council. Leticia is a sixth-generation Coloradoan and the granddaughter of both a steelworker and a bricklayer. She lives in Denver with her husband and son. Leticia graduated from Smith College and received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.
