Jocelyn Torres is pretty much a native Nevadan. She moved to Las Vegas with her parents and younger brother in hopes of making Nevada their home. After graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in public relations and political science, she returned to Las Vegas making it a point to do something positive in her community no matter how small. Before becoming the communications director at Battle Born Progress (formerly ProgressNow Nevada), she worked with Nevada Assemblywoman Lucy Flores. She is currently a member of the Sunrise Manor Town Board. In addition she is a member of the Metro Multicultural Advisory Council, and a mother of a four-year-old daughter.
