Anne Ishii is a writer and the newly appointed Executive Director of Asian Arts Initiative, which has been facilitating arts and social practice in the Chinatown neighborhood of Philadelphia for the past 25 years. As a veteran strategist in publishing and creative entrepreneurship, she has produced projects in a wide range of disciplines, including architecture, food marketing and documentary filmmaking. She is an Eisner Award winner and has been recognized by the Lambda Literary Association for work in the queer publishing world, through representation of queer and feminist artists from Japan at her agency MASSIVE GOODS.
