Jacinda Padilla began their organizing work as a fellow for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Oregon. They have worked on several ballot measures and lobbied state legislatures to ensure that reproductive healthcare is a priority in the state legislature. Jacinda is queer, non-binary grassroots organizer and storyteller for Planned Parenthood Action Fund. They have been working on campaigns throughout the pandemic in order to create effective digital organizing tactics. They have been working on a non-traditional campaign for a local election, proving that you don’t always have to work within the system to beat the system. Jacinda works with other BIPOC and queer organizers to break down the barriers that politics poses for marginalized folks. They have been on the frontlines of the Portland Protests and are a firm believer in abolition. They will be sharing their story and why it is important for us to use our people power to create lasting, anti-racist, and anti-capitalist change in the US.
