LGBTQPOC Chill Space For the first year ever, there will be an LGBTQ people of color (POC) safe space for the duration of the conference. The LGBTQPOC Chill Space welcomes LGBTQ people of color for coffee, snacks and drinks throughout the conference. The broader community and allies are invited for curated conversations critical to LGBTQPOC communities every night at 5:30 p.m. The LGBTQPOC Chill Space will provide a safe space for queer, bi and trans people of color to heal and grieve with each other after #Orlando, while also providing a space to self-organize further solidarity among LGBTQIA leaders of color via a new LGBTQPOC only mailing list, Slack channel and Facebook group.
The LGBTQPOC Chill Space is co-sponsored by The BiNet USA Bi Stories Project, Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance/ Institute for Asian Pacific American Leadership & Advancement, QPEN, The Strength in Numbers Project, and the Working Families Party People of Color Caucus.
