Our agenda is online!
Back in January, we asked you to help us organize sessions that accurately reflect the issues that are most important to you, and you answered en masse. We received more than 140 submissions on topics ranging from the environment to Iraq.
After several months of tweaking the schedule, combining ideas in order to create the most well-rounded agenda possible and mixing Netroots experts with fresh, new voices, we’re thrilled to announce that our convention schedule is now live.
Our online agenda is fully searchable by topic and speaker, and you can view by day or by subject. We urge you to use it as a resource for planning your convention schedule.
Krugman, Perlstein, Atrios and Digby on Media Accountability at Netroots Nation
According to Paul Krugman and Rick Perlstein, our media needs better accountability—and it's our job to step up.
So Netroots Nation is thrilled to announce that Perlstein, author of Nixonland, and New York Times columnist Krugman will team up with Duncan "Atrios" Black for a panel on media accountability on Friday, July 18. Heather "Digby" Parton will moderate.
Help Set Our Agenda
We want your ideas for panels, discussions and workshops at Netroots Nation 2008.
Run, don't walk, because January 30 is the deadline for public submissions.
- The general information about submitting panels is here
- You'll need the Proposal Submission Form
- Make sure to also read over the Speaker Info Sheet
Important Changes to Saturday Schedule
Due to the people's business in Washington, DC, none of the "Meet the Leaders" panel participants are able to make it to YearlyKos. There will be no 8am keynote on Saturday.
We have confirmed with the Clinton campaign that Sen. Hillary Clinton will be attending a breakout session as part of the Presidential Leadership Forum.
Sen. Clinton will be doing her breakout session before the Leadership Forum begins at Noon Central time in S106. You must have the appropriate wristband to attend the breakout session.
Friday Night At The Movies
The Screening Series has expanded their line-up at the 2007 YearlyKos Convention with a new Friday night line-up.
Thanks to Warner Independent Pictures we'll be presenting 2 full length, first run, Hollywood feature films, made by Oscar nominated filmmakers, and featuring oscar-winning and nominated actors, including Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon, and Leonardo Di Caprio, and a trailer for an upcoming film. And as an attendee of the convention you'll get to see these films before they hit the theaters, and before anyone else on the planet other than people in the "industry" get to see them! If that isn't enough they will feature a Q&A session with the filmmakers afterwards.

We are pleased to announce that Sen. John Edwards, Sen. Barack Obama, and Gov. Bill Richardson confirmed their participation in a Presidential Leadership Forum to be held August 4 in Chicago. Confirmations from other candidates are forthcoming.
The event—the first ever collaborative presidential forum with both a respected blogger and a leading member of the traditional media as moderators—is an opportunity to use technology to empower citizens to engage and evaluate America's potential leaders, both face-to-face and online. Many political candidates, including Edwards and Obama, already frequently use sites like Daily Kos to dialogue with the public.
