Just wanted to put out a quick update on unConventional. We're still trying to get settled after returning from the convention but we hope to start getting copies in the mail to folks that have paid for them this week.

Amidst Lollapalooza and an African American Shriners and Daughters of the Sphinx ball in all their dazzling pageantry (yes, hats too), our YearlyKos Convention held its ground, maybe not with rock stars and Rolls Royced master masons, but with bloggers, big media, progressive organizations, presidential candidates and the full weight of the Netroots Nation.

The big announcement at the Saturday night keynote with Gina, Markos and the hilarious line-up of Laughing Liberally comics was the name change of the YearlyKos Convention to Netroots Nation.

Netroots Nation, say Convention organizers, gets to the heart of what this gathering is all about. The name reflects the event's inclusivity of so many progressive organizations.
