Veronica I. Arreola is an accomplished blogger, women’s rights activist and mother. Her blog, Viva la Feminista, has been named a top political blog by Blogher, Type-A-Mom and Circle of Moms. Veronica’s work on behalf of women and girls has been recognized by her coworkers with a 2007 UIC Woman of the Year award, the community with 2010 Chicago Foundation for Women Impact Award and the White House with an organizational Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring.
