How do I get on TV and radio? How do I make successful arguments once I'm on the air? Learn all the tips to a successful TV/radio appearance from experienced pundits. Participants will learn how to get themselves media exposure and will also have a chance appear on camera and receive constructive feedback.
Faiz Shakir is the Research Director at the Center for American Progress and serves as Editor-in-Chief of ThinkProgress.org. He holds a BA in Government from Harvard University and a JD from the Georgetown Law Center. Faiz is co-author of Howard Dean’s Prescription for Real Healthcare Reform. He also authored a chapter entitled “Blogging the election” in The Change We Need: What Britain Can Learn from Obama’s Victory. Faiz has appeared on MSNBC, CNN, Fox News, and CNBC television, among other places, and has been a guest on many radio shows.
Amanda Terkel is Deputy Research Director at the Center for American Progress and serves as Managing Editor for ThinkProgress.org and The Progress Report at the Center for American Progress. Her past positions have been with Senator Charles Schumer, the New York State Attorney General, and the Office of the Inspector General in the Office of Personnel Management. She graduated from Colgate University. Her writing has been published in The New York Times and Politico. She has appeared as a guest on MSNBC’s Countdown with Keith Olbermann, BBC, Fox News, Fox Business Network, Voice of America, The Young Turks, and Al Jazeera, among others.
