In this blogosphere-focused panel, moderator Chris Bowers will pose two questions—one about the Obama/Clinton conflict in the blogosphere community and the second looking at how blogs compare with other forms of social media. After a panel discussion, audience members will be given a chance to ask additional questions.
Chris Bowers has been the managing editor of Openleft.com since July 2007, and was a full-time editor at MyDD.com from May 2004 until June 2007. He is also the treasurer of BlogPac, a fellow at the Commonweal Institute, and holds a seat on the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee. Bowers is 35, lives in Philadelphia, and occasionally works as a netroots consultant for progressive candidates and organizations.
Most importantly, as of July 18th, Chris is now married to Natasha Chart!
Cheryl Contee, Partner at Fission Strategy, specializes in helping non-profit organizations and foundations use social media for social good. She is also the co-founder of JackandJillPolitics.com writing as Jill Tubman on one of the top 10 black blogs online, She has over 13 years of award-winning interactive expertise and previously served as lead digital strategist for Fleishman-Hillard for the West Coast in San Francisco. Cheryl has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, San Francisco Magazine, BBC and CNN among other media appearances. She received her B.A. from Yale University and has an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.
