potential applications and implications for the future of American healthcare.

Josh Orton

Josh Orton is political director for Netroots Nation. Previously, Orton served as executive producer for Air America's "The Majority Report" with Sam Seder and Janeane Garofalo, press secretary for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and deputy new media director for the Barack Obama campaign. A Wisconsin native and current New York resident, Orton also blogs at MyDD.com. He believes that this is the Cubs' year.

Towards that, I founded MEDgle in Sept 2006. MEDgle empowers
participatory healthcare by providing transparency to a consumers'
medical options (diagnoses, physicians, services and health products)
through a personalized medical search.

Throughout my career, I have looked for opportunities to apply
practical artificial intelligence. MEDgle and technology behind it
is a synthesis of my goals, time spent at MIT, and research over the last 15 years
encompassing education, government, manufactoring, retail, and
consumer internet.

Melinda Gibson

Melinda Gibson is the Operations Manager for Health Care for America Now! (HCAN!). Health Care for America Now! is a national grassroots campaign made up of a variety of organizations (including labor, think tanks, online, and community based organizations) who are dedicated to quality, affordable health care we all can count on. Melinda moved to Washington, DC from Santa Monica, CA in the spring of 2007 and began her work on health care reform as the Health Care Policy Analyst and Organizer for Campaign for America’s Future.

Julia Eisman

Julia Eisman is the Online Advocacy Coordinator at Families USA, a national nonprofit that works to achieve quality and affordable health care for all. Julia worked to launch, and now manages, StandUpforHealthCare.org, a project of Families USA, where ordinary Americans can gain knowledge and take action around health care reform. She earned her BA from the University of Texas in Austin and her MPA from American University.
