60/275: The Races We Aren't Watching but Should (and Those We're Watching, Too)
House and Senate campaign handicappers from Daily Kos, MyDD and Swing State project put their heads together to talk about the most important races around the country in 2008—and the possibility of a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate and an even stronger majority in the House.
DavidNYC, a lifelong New Yorker and Democrat, is an attorney working in New York City. He founded the Swing State Project, a blog devoted to horserace politics, in 2003. He has also been a contributing editor at Daily Kos since 2004. He is a die-hard Mets fan.
Markos Moulitsas Zúniga is the founder of the Daily Kos political blog, which reaches more than a million unique visitors each month. One of People en Espaňol's "100 Most Influential Hispanics" in the world and a fixture in the online world, he is also a regular columnist for Newsweek and a weekly columnist for The Hill newspaper.
Arjun Jaikumar is an actor and playwright by trade. He has been a Daily Kos member since 2005, and became a contributing editor at Daily Kos in December 2007, writing with a particular focus on horserace politics.
James Lambert is the senior editor of the Swing State Project, where he has been writing about horserace politics since May 2006. He has interned with Talking Points Memo in New York City and served as the online coordinator for the Alberta Liberal Party in Canada.
Jonathan Singer is an editor of the progressive political blog MyDD, a position he has held since November 2005. When he is not blogging about elections, campaigns, polling and other related issues, Singer is pursuing a JD at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall).
