Bloggers are frequently stumped by two things: how to get their blogs noticed and build a consistent readership, and how to make money from their blogs. In this panel discussion, bloggers will discuss various marketing strategies and internal marketing tools; using social networking to boost, engage and create synergy with your readership; and monetizing your blog.

Karl-Thomas Musselman

Karl-Thomas Musselman is a Democratic political activist in Austin, TX. He serves as the publisher of the Burnt Orange Report, Texas' most widely read Democratic blog. He also coordinates online activity for Texas Democratic Senate nominee Rick Noriega and is highly involved in Austin area politics.

George Nassar

George Nassar is the executive editor of The Texas Blue, a Democratic political news and analysis blog launched in January 2007 which has been cited by such media outlets as the Washington Post, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and Harvey Kronberg's Quorum Report. For his part, George has spoken in various forums and panels regarding the growth of The Texas Blue and the influence of the Texas blogosphere. George's most recent campaign work was as regional communications director for the Chris Bell gubernatorial campaign in North Texas. He also works in the software industry, specializing in databases, content management and computer security.

Jason Rosenbaum

Jason Rosenbaum is a blogger, web designer and new media organizer living in Washington, D.C. He blogs on media issues, retroactive immunity and the presidential race and in conjunction with his fellow authors at The Seminal, he has helped build a community around the blog using social media outreach. Jason currently works as Deputy Online Director at Health Care for America NOW and the remnant manager for CommonSense Media.
