Discover hands-on techniques that allow you to join the blogosphere conversation, leverage traffic from social news sites like Digg and Reddit and put your blog in front of thousands of potential visitors. Learn how to build your own online community from a panel of bloggers who have worked on their own blogs; for non-profits; and for state, congressional and presidential campaigns.

Josh Nelson is a blogger, activist and avid news junkie. He is currently the manager of new media at a Washington, DC area PR/communications firm. In his spare time he enjoys arguing on the Internet, spending time with good people and talking politics. He can be reached at josh@theseminal.com.

Jason Rosenbaum is a blogger, web designer and new media organizer living in Washington, D.C. He blogs on media issues, retroactive immunity and the presidential race and in conjunction with his fellow authors at The Seminal, he has helped build a community around the blog using social media outreach. Jason currently works as Deputy Online Director at Health Care for America NOW and the remnant manager for CommonSense Media.

Cheryl Contee is a consultant and partner at Fission Strategy whose private practice specializes in helping major non-profit organizations, tech startups, Fortune 500 companies and leading trade associations manage their brands and their campaigns online with a focus on Web 2.0, social media and blogger relations. She is also a blogger and co-founder writing as Jill Tubman on one of the top 10 black blogs online, Jack and Jill Politics. She has over 13 years of award-winning interactive expertise and previously served as lead digital strategist for Fleishman-Hillard for the West Coast in San Francisco.
