Netroots Nation by the numbers
The Austin-American Statesman recently ran an article highlighting the fiscal impact of this summer's convention in Austin—an impressive $3.5 million, which translates to 159 jobs. Some other numbers that highlight just how large we're expecting Netroots Nation to be:
26,000: The number of square feet in the Netroots Nation exhibit hall
3,000: The number of attendees expected to descend upon Austin
300: The number of reporters coming to cover the madness
176: The number of panels, workshops, discussions and caucuses planned during the 4-day event
61: The percentage of the official hotel block already booked
Organizers say these numbers indicate just how much the Netroots is growing.
