Brief description of organization:

Emerge California is changing the face of California politics by identifying, training and encouraging women to run for office, get elected and to seek higher office. Our intensive, cohort-based seven-month training program is unique. As the number of elected Democratic women remains flat or even declines, the need for our work is growing.

What are some recent accomplishments or projects your organization is working on?

Recently, we have more than 200 women go through our program with a 60% success rate of women elected to office at all levels. We currently trying to reach out to other areas of California like Southern California, Central Valley and Central Coast to get more democratic women representation!

Tell us how both your organization and convention attendees would benefit from your Hall booth?

Spreading the word and mission of Emerge California’s program, getting recruits and convention attendees would benefit by knowing that there is an organization that does help women succeed in leadership roles and to really consider being part of the changing discourse in politics!
