Brief description of organization:

The Economic Innovation Institute advocates the adoption and pursuit of a core progressive agenda for growth and innovation to forward thinking policy makers:
Education, Innovation and Infrastructure and real reform to move us to a sustainable 21st century economy.

What are some recent accomplishments or projects your organization is working on?

We advocated during 2012 in the run-up to the election for the White House,  US House, US Senate, gubernatorial candidates, to candidates running for the US House and Senate and the President’s closest advisors. A clear example of our success was our home state of New Hampshire where Maggie Hassan, now the country’s only female democratic Governor ran on our agenda and has adopted it as a governing agenda. Similarly, Annie Kuster now representing New Hampshire’s second congressional district ran on our agenda and won a strong victory.

Tell us how both your organization and convention attendees would benefit from your Hall booth?

It’s important to us to build grassroots support as well as support among electeds. A booth at Netroots Nation (which I attended when I was a Congressman) would open up important dialogue for us with progressive activist and journalists. We need to shift the political dialog from the terms supplied by the Right (Debts and taxes) to a progressive agenda for growth and innovation to get us to the “next” economy and build sustainable jobs for 99% of us.
