Being Liberal was founded in 2009 as a Facebook Page in opposition to “Being Conservative” – “Because Reality Has A Liberal Bias”. It has become the most active political FB Page, with mirrors on all other Social Media. (582,401 likes • 1,209,152 talking about this.) We intend to run a hands-on Social Media clinic in our NN’13 booth for all, We will share our practical knowledge of effective FB usage, based on our own experience combined with advanced analytic tools presented by our partner Blitzmetrics.com.
What are some recent accomplishments or projects your company is working on?
As for April 24th Being Liberal FB stats: 582,401 likes · 1,209,152 people talking about this, 13,512,156 weekly total reach. All that with no paid advertising, started by a single passionate person with a computer. As grassroots as it can be. Today, with a help of a few volunteers Being Liberal has better footprint in social media than most of political organizations, with teams of people, paid consultants and advertising budgets. We believe that we really know Facebook and want to share that knowledge
Tell us how both your company and convention attendees would benefit from your Hall booth?
Both Being Liberal and Blitzmetrics search for recognition among the Netroots Nation attendees. Our idea is to run a large screen open audits of Social Media presence, especially on Facebook for the attendees. Being Liberal Founder and Editor would comment and review the pages from the editorial perspective. Mr Dennis Yu from Blitzmetrics will use a custom analytical dashboard to teach how to use the proper analytics in evaluation of the Social Media presence of the attending organizations.
