Brief description of company:

Cruiskeen Consulting LLC provides web design and consulting services, and green web hosting. We specialize in CMS solutions based on Drupal, and do customized high-performance hosting for CMS systems.

What are some recent accomplishments or projects your company is working on?

We work closely with nonprofits and political/activist groups, as well as small businesses. For 6 years we have run the Wisconsin political blog Uppity Wisconsin and have worked with other activist groups such as the Frac Sand Awareness Project. We support blogger communication in Wisconsin and have organized the last two Netroots Wisconsin events.

Tell us how both your company and convention attendees would benefit from your Hall booth?

We are interested in building Progressive infrastructure.  We are particularly interested in building communications between groups and bloggers on the Internet.  Some of this involves building supporting software for activism and discussion. We are currently working on a community discussion platform for Wisconsin, and want to develop a Drupal distribution to make this easier to achieve. We are also intensely interested in rebuilding something similar to the old 50-state blog network, but with a more organized technological structure.

Our interest in coming to Netroots Nation is to both find business in the Netroots community, and to reach out to the community to fill needs. We want to drive a discussion on what the infrastructure needs of the Netroots community are, and how we can work together to accomplish these goals.  We will attempt to sponsor an idea contest at the conference where people can contribute ideas for progressive infrastructure.  We will commit to providing support for the best ideas brought out at the conference by providing technical support and hosting.
